Day 01: Lima / Vuelo / Juliaca / Puno Hotel
Assistance on your arrival in Juliaca.On your way to Puno, visit the famous Chullpas of Sillustani, 12 m/40ft high stone cylinder burial chambers, used by the Aymaras to bury their important leader. Lake Umayo, located in front of the Chullpas, adds further beauty to the place. Here you also have the opportunity to observe wild guinea pigs, birds and other local wildlife. Arrival to selected hotel where you have free time to rest and get acclimatised to the altitude.
Day 02: Floating Island of Uros / Amantani Island
Early breakfast and transfer to the local pier. Then we will visit the floating islands of Uros. Main Activities in these Islands -made of totora- are fishing, hunting, and taxidermy. We will then continue towards Amantani island where we will stay overnight in local families houses. After lunch we will visit Pachamama and Pachatata ceremonial centers, where we will enjoy the beautiful fauna and flora of the Lake Titicaca Reserve. At night typical dinner and folk show offered by the villagers. Overnight.
Day 03: Amantani Island / Taquile Island / Puno
After breakfast, you have time to stroll at leisure through the quaint streets of this colourful island. Late morning, you take a motor-boat to Taquile Island, also inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed efficient and unique social systems, as well as fine hand weaving techniques, down through the generations. Upon arrival at the Town of Taquile we will have a lunch.Then, we will take a walk through the various hills and archaeological sites of this 6km long island. In the afternoon, return to Puno for overnight at selected hotel.
Day 04: Puno / Juliaca / Lima
In the morning, transfer to Juliaca airport to take your departure flight at Lima and hotel.
